This position will provide support to ensure SSHEQ programs are aligned to the strategic direction and vision of the business, enhance engagement & empowerment in the delivery of Security, Safety, Health, Environment, Quality & Kaizen activities to improve safety, performance & compliance.
We have an exciting and challenging opportunity coming up for a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the vacant role of Team Leader Security & Transport. This position is located within the Security Safety Health Environment Quality (SSHEQ) - Head Office, Port Moresby and will report to the Security & Transport Manager.
Experience / Attributes:
Valid reference from previous employer.
Valid Class 6 PNG Driver’s Licence.
3 years’ experience in Security & Transport Supervisory roles or significant experience in a similar role.
Effective time management skills.
Good written & oral communication ability.
Able to work under pressure.
Sound computer literacy skills.
Knowledge in electronic security and monitoring devices is desired.
Job Description
Main duties / responsibilities include:
- Personal and employee safety is the primary consideration in all assigned tasks and accountabilities.
- Utilize, monitor resources to ensure internal transportation, system security backup and escorts are available on demand.
- Develop daily security guard location schedule to ensure all postings around the facility and premises are covered.
- Tracking and surveillance of company vehicles are reported monthly with anomalies actioned and resolved as they occur.
- Ensure all transportation vehicles are serviced and maintained as per the vehicle maintenance schedule.
- Internal security and external guard SPOT Checks are conducted around H/O Badili premises, apprentice quarters & Waigani.
- Regular and random checks on personnel & vehicles are conducted to ensure compliance with policy and in country regulation.
- Schedule and coordinate annual driver competency and safety refresher courses for all licensed drivers within the business.
- Conduct material checklist to ensure security equipment are utilized correctly and fully functional.
- Respond promptly to requests, complaints, incident reports, emergency alerts relating to security and transport.
- Prepare Operators, Security Officers & Drivers duty rosters & ensure staff attendance, punctuality & general discipline.
- Conduct investigations into all Security & Transport Incidents and provide reports as required.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned by the Security & Transport Manager.
