Job Summary
This position provides support to IT infrastructure networks, servers, desktops, information storage, security & disaster planning strategies throughout the company. Located within the IT Department in the Head Office, Port Moresby, the IT Technical Support Analyst reports to the IT Operations Manager.
Experience / Attributes:
A tertiary qualification in IT, with Industry certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ is advantageous
Possess at least 5 years of IT support experience
Active Directory Administration experience in a hybrid setting
Microsoft 365 Administration experience is desirable
Experience supporting HP & Lenovo environments
Experience deploying windows using Endpoint Manager or Autopilot is highly desirable
Experience with Enterprise VOIP (Cisco Unified Communications Manager) is a bonus
Experience with Enterprise Network Infrastructure Support (LAN/WAN & P2P)
Able to be certified to Work at Heights
Experience supporting VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V will be an advantage
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Apps.
Job Description
Main duties / responsibilities include:
- Effectively utilize Helpdesk System to manage incidents and service requests
- Monitor and report on daily health and performance of the network and systems
- Provide Level 1 Support to all IT issues and requests
- Deploy and support workstations, multifunction units and other peripherals remotely
- Fully comply with Organizational policies and Industry Cybersecurity Best Practices
- Monitor & Maintain IT Inventory & Assets Databases
- Assist with regular Backup & Restore tasks
- Pro-actively monitor and manage access to systems to avoid unauthorized access
- Research innovative ways to improve business processes and reduce total cost of ownership
