This position will provide technical skill support and expertise to the Workshop operations, compliant with 'Toyota' quality standards and aligned with the business objective, implementing continuous improvement in service deliverables to achieve sales target levels.

Experience / Attributes:
Trade Certified (MVM Tradesman desired).
Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
2 years’ experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician.
Strong Product knowledge.
Able to interpret Parts.
High level technical knowledge and skills.
Comprehensive report writing Skills.
Extreme attention to detail.
Able to work under pressure
Effective time management Skills.
Possess Customer Service qualities.
Good written & oral communication ability.
Ability to organize, plan, coordinate & communicate effectively across all levels of the business.

Main duties / responsibilities include:

• Productivity levels are enhanced & managed through accurate daily clocking practices as per the scheduled Repair Order.


• Conduct inspection, diagnosis & repair on vehicle engine & systems as delegated by the Team Leader as per scheduled RO.


• Parts functionality is tested against the checklists to ensure that all critical areas of the vehicle unit are examined thoroughly.


• Ensure all toolkit assets are managed, maintained, utilised correctly & fully functional with anomalies reported to Team Leader.


• Provide advice & support on complex technical interpretation issues or diagnosis process understanding to customers.


• Disseminate information on service & repair maintenance progress to the appropriate Team Leader & Advisors on demand.


• Engage with Quality Inspector to conduct repair inspection on units prior to delivery to the customer.


• Prepare repair maintenance summary report & additional reports required by the Team Leader for review.


• Maintain full compliance with Workshop operational process, procedures & standard requirements.


• Perform daily safety precautionary & preventive procedures on PPE's, workstation & report hazards, risks to Team Leader.
