Job Summary
We have an immediate requirement for a People Transformation Lead to join our Human Resources team in Port Moresby

The role:
Reporting to the Training Manager, the People Transformation Lead, will drive end-to-end transformation of people processes and programs across the Brian Bell Group, with a focus on improving the employee experience, talent development, HR systems, and organisational agility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resource or similar
Minimum of 5 years in HR, talent development, or transformation
Proven track record in program design and delivery
Proven track record in process improvement and automation
Strong understanding of HR technology and systems improvement
Analytical mindset with a commitment to innovation and impact
Excellent stakeholder engagement and strategic planning skills
Experience using talent analytics to drive decisions
Change leadership skills and agile mindset
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Experience with e-learning platforms
MS Office proficiency
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels
Must be a team player
Excellent organizational skills
Must be able to prioritize multiple deadlines in an efficient manner
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


Training



  • Lead the design and implementation of future-focused people initiatives including early careers, graduate, emerging leader, and apprenticeship programs

  • Coordinate annual training plans and activities for emerging leaders, graduates and apprentices (e.g simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training and professional development)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify skills gaps / knowledge gaps for the emerging leaders, graduate trainees and apprentices and tailor programs to address them accordingly

  • Collaborate with external training providers to facilitate required training for the emerging leaders, graduates and apprentices at their different development stages

  • Coordinate with trade testing for apprentices with National Apprenticeship Trade Testing Board (NATTB) to become certified tradesman.

  • Coordinate membership of the emerging leader and graduate trainees to professional clubs i.e Toastmaster and Young Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry

  • Monitor the progress of emerging leaders, graduates and apprentices and provide ongoing support and resources to help them continue to develop their skills and adapt to the evolving industry

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication where emerging leaders, graduate trainees and apprentices feel free to seek help from one and other

  • Encourage a mindset of continuous learning and adaptation, where emerging leaders, graduate trainees and apprentices are open to embrace new challenges and opportunities

  • Obtain timely feedback from emerging leaders, graduates and apprentices as well as other subject matter experts both internal and external after facilitating training programs to make improvements where necessary.

  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records for emerging leaders, graduate trainees and apprentices


 


Leadership



  • Drive succession planning, leadership development, and talent review processes

  • Develop and manage strategic learning programs including onboarding, compliance, and leadership

  • Partner with business leaders to identify organizational capability gaps and develop upskilling strategies

  • Partner with business units and divisions to shape future-ready teams and culture

  • Use data and feedback to refine people strategies and measure impact

  • Proactively identify and address potential resistance from teams, developing communication strategies to help them understand the benefits of transformation and overcome concerns

  • Provide a safe platform for teams to voice their concerns and seek clarifications regarding organizational changes

  • Lead change management for major HR initiatives including new technologies and processes

  • Introduce process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance in HR operations

  • Play a pivotal role in guiding teams through the transition, helping them to adapt to new processes, technologies and organizational structures

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of people transformation strategies and report on progress

  • Introduce and embed a culture of continuous learning & improvement


 


Systems



  • Oversee talent lifecycle processes and system automation improvements.

  • Lead improvements in HR systems to improve business processes and client experience, ensuring data accuracy and usability.

  • Partner with IT and HR to advance HR digitalisation projects.

  • Managing the implementation of HR digitalisation projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget

  • Facilitate and manage organizational changes associated with digital transformation, including communication and training

  • Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress of the digitalisation initiatives.



Potential must be flexible to work Saturdays, and on public holidays when required.  This role requires a Police Clearance certificate as a minimum requirement.
