The General Manager, based at the Madang Eye Clinic, overseers the Fred Hollows Foundation PNG's programme of activities in Madang and reports to the PNG Country Manger in Port Moresby. This includes the Madang Eye Clinic based programme in partnership with the Madang Provincial Hospital and Provincial Health Authority, as well as the training of eye care workers in partnership with the Divine Word University. The General Manger leads the local management team including clinical leaders, trainers and key administrative staff. The Madang Clinic provides eye care services for the province, training of eye care nurses and doctors and is a center of nationwide eye care outreached and work force support for the PNG eye sector.
